I started performing burlesque as a soloist in London at the age of 18. A year later I joined Miss Polly Rae's cabaret burlesque troupe as one of the original Hurly Burly Girlys, working with them for 3 years. The Hurly Burly Show progressed to residencies in a range of West-End Theatres, working with William Baker and Kylie Minogue's creative team.

In 2010 I co-founded London's Leading Burlesque Showgirl Troupe 'The Folly Mixtures' with Bettsie Bon Bon, Ooh-La Lou and Felixy Splits. The squad expanded to over 30 performers, entertained high-class clients including Vogue and Graff Diamonds and were the only UK act selected to compete at the Burlesque Hall of Fame in Las Vegas in 2022 - essentially the Olympics of Burlesque. The Folly Mixtures held a number of weekly residencies including: Cafe de Paris, Privee Knightsbridge, Tropicana Beach Club and the International Theatre Tours of 'An Evening of Burlesque' and 'Tassels'.

Having worked with the top UK cabaret performers for the past 17 years I have picked up many insider costuming tricks that will help your pieces handle the rough and tumble of a stage life. With my bruised burlesque knees needing a rest and rhinestone withdrawal kicking in, Primp My Costume was born.

I can assure you that there is no shame in starting with a cheap basic set of garments. Even A-List Burlesquers use high-street fashion sometimes.

I will always do my best to create a design that stands out stylistically. I'll know I've done my job when another performer enviously grabs at your £5 bra backstage and demands to know where it's from.

That's the ultimate goal!
